On December 8, the Eduarte Foundation in Radlin hosted an opening of my works from the series "Silesian Creatures". I am glad that the premiere of the photos from this series took place in Radlin, where I grew up and from my window I had a view of the Marcel mine, the coking plant and Szarlota - one of the highest slag heaps in Europe. After years, I decided to look at this landscape I knew by heart from a different perspective. I attempted to rediscover for myself this landscape characteristic of Silesia, which are the mountains of post-mining waste. I looked for symbols, shapes and structures in them that constitute the missing link in the visual representation of the region - terrible and fairy-tale, beautiful and brutal. This beautiful evening took place thanks to the project "Radlin Green Heart" and is co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Silesia 2021-2027 program (Just Transition Fund).
