Zima, jaką pamiętam z dzieciństwa — mroźna i biała — występuje już coraz rzadziej. Śnieg w mieście staje się zjawiskiem krótkotrwałym, prawie efemerycznym. Dlatego kiedy w końcu nadchodzą odpowiednie warunki i wychodzę „latać”, mam poczucie, że dokumentuję ginące piękno. „Ostatnia zima” („Last Winter”) to nie tylko kolejny cykl w ramach Podniebnych Obrazów, ale też podskórne żegnanie się z moją ulubioną, bo najbardziej fotogeniczną, porą roku. Zdjęcia do tego cyklu wykonałem ostatniej zimy, czyli w sezonie 2024/2025, w Rybniku i jego najbliższej okolicy.

The kind of winter, I remember from my childhood – cold and white – is becoming increasingly rare. Snow in the city is becoming a short-lived, almost ephemeral phenomenon. That's why when the right conditions finally arrive and I go out to ‘fly’, I feel that I’m documenting a vanishing beauty. „Last Winter" is not only another series within Aerial Images, but also an undercurrent of saying goodbye to my favourite, because most photogenic, season. I took the photographs for this series last winter, i.e. in the 2024/2025, in and around Rybnik.
