My aerial "Third Eye" has won first place in the BigPicture: Natural World Photography Competition, organized by the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, in the "Landscapes, Waterscapes, and Flora" category. I’m very grateful to the jury for recognizing my work, which was created just around the corner, in Pniowiec, Rybnik earlier this year. I’m especially thrilled because many of the other awarded and recognized photos were taken in the most remote and exotic places around the world. And 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫 ever to receive an award in the history of this competition.
An exhibition of all the awarded works, including mine, will take place this fall at one of the world’s largest natural history museums - the California Academy of Sciences. In the meantime, congratulations to all the other winners, and I invite you to explore the gallery of honored works:
